About Us
Louisa Cranston Rice
As a Seattle native, Louisa grew up amongst the trees, mountains and waterways of the Pacific Northwest, and couldn’t bear to live anywhere else.
Louisa received a BFA in Visual Communication and Design from Cornish College of the Arts. From there, she took her branding skills and substantial high-end hospitality experience into the emerging world of managing short term rental homes. There she found passion and purpose in helping small local businesses and international companies alike innovate and achieve success.
After 10 years and eventually serving as General Manager for the largest vacation rental company in North America, Louisa joined Paul in the field of real estate. Louisa’s well-honed abilities to support homeowners and guide them in managing their largest assets made this evolution a natural fit.
In addition to her work in real estate, Louisa serves on the Board of Trustees at Seattle Children’s Theater, and is the proud mother and stepmother of four kids 10 and under. She loves cooking, skiing, yoga, and spending time with family. After her son’s treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, she finds meaning in connecting with other families who have also experienced pediatric cancer.
PRINCIPAL BROKER
Paul has deep Pacific Northwest roots. After growing up in North Seattle and studying theater at Emerson College in Boston, Paul had stints writing for the Seattle Times and The Escapist, before moving to Port Townsend and opening a pinball bar.
Eventually he sold his business and pinball machines, and got his real estate license in 2016. Over eight years later, Paul is still helping clients buy and sell houses, investment homes, businesses, vacant land and commercial property.
Paul’s strengths lie in his experience gained from a wide variety of transactions, excellent communication skills, and positive attitude. He brings optimism and persistence to every transaction. His wide network ensures that he can find someone to help in any scenario, and his dedication to service means he’ll go the extra mile (or acre!) for you and your transaction.
Paul is a proud father and stepfather of four. He loves dreaming about, cooking and eating new foods, and recently hosted a popular radio show called Filter on KPTZ, Port Townsend's community radio station, featuring music and conversation. Paul loves writing, trail running and hiking in the Olympics.

Our Story
Louisa and Paul met 15 years ago at The Sloop Tavern in Ballard, Washington, while both attending Louisa’s best friend’s birthday party. We made Facebook friends the next day. Paul saw we had Boston friends in common; he sent a message and we realized in a strange coincidence we had both attended Emerson College, a small liberal arts school in Boston, after growing up a few minutes apart in Seattle.
While at Emerson, we actually lived in the same apartment building 10 minutes north of campus - 35 Brookline - in the same stack, one floor apart. We used the same secret fire escape stairwell to hang out on the roof! But we never knew each other then, and we didn't see each other again for a decade.
10 years later, we reconnected by chance when the timing was perfect right. Suddenly, instantly, it all clicked into place. We had been waiting for each other without knowing it. We were married two years later on July 9, 2022, officially combining our families and our four children who love each other so much: Josephine, Henry, Simon and Alice.
Today we are partners in life, love, and real estate!
